just curious if a newer teg gsr or civic si muffler will fit on a 92 hatchback? i wasnt sure if it would clear everything under the bumper and whatnot

i was just out under my car (93 vx) and im thinking it will...if not all u gotta do is angle it a bit (vertically or horizontally) what ever floats ur boat

 

im sure it would fit if you had a shop customize it...as for bolt-on, it wont work...i tried it a few years ago with my friends integra muffler haha

 

yea i know it wont bolt it will be custom piping just want it to fit nice not stick out and stuff

 

i have seen the SI muffler on a 5th gen hatch and it looks really nice and clean

NO a gsr muffler will not fit on a hatchback.. ive tried it before on my old si hatch and the gsr stock muffler was WAY to long for the hatchback and it stuck out and didnt fit straight.. what you might have seen was a gsr or si tip on a stock muffler.. i know the tip will fit cause i used to have one..

 

my cx has 2000 Si exhaust on it I just had to have the muffler shop cut the tailpipe shorter and weld new "hooks" in!

 

i was thinking i would cut the piping into the muffler off and have it custom made, maybe even new hangers welded, what is a good "stock" muffler for a 92-5 hatch?

 

ITR - still VERY restrictive though, and requires cutting of the CAR and muff to fit

......if you have a 22mm rear bar its going to rattle , dont ask me how I know

its a NICE , QUIET exhaust but will be removed this week as I cannot get it to not hit something under my car at all times

I have an ITR muff modded to fit an EG for sale

no heat shield , modded hangers but you still have to shorten the B-pipe if you use a teg one , which I did and was a noticeable gain also

100.00 the ITR tip has been cut off also , it sticks out WAY too far on the EG
