need em to work for my safety check so i can register my car.
anyone know how i wire them to a switch so i can turn em on when i go for my safety check. i swapped a jdm h22 into my 92 prelude si. i used the jdm h22 engine harness and i connected the 2 wires to the back up switch on the trans. still doesnt work..
any help?

 

Try replacing the backup switch.

 

I'd repair the problem rather than trying to mask it. Usually adding jumpers or running your own separate switches will cause issues unless you remove the existing wires (and thats not exactly possible and I won't get into explaing why)

I would also suggest checking the back up switch. Using a ohm meter or continuity meter dissconnect all wires. Place one lead of the meter on one side of switch and other lead on other. Activate the switch mechanically and see if you have continuity. Not sure if this is possible in a practical sense but thats how I would check a typical switch. Honestly never seen the back up switch.

 

yes u can do it that way. I found the test test procedure i think it was in the helms or i got it off of isis when i did mine. It was very straightforward. If you know how to work a multimeter its cake. Let me know if you cant find it. Also i know this sounds dumb but before you go through all this make sure the bulbs arent out then go from there.
