there is normal and there is the HP, the HP is for people who run high fuel pressures, one example people with a boost dependent FMU... honestly though i always just get the HP, for $10 more why not...

lol. so you would rather starve your motor?

gotta get fuel to the motor somehow. would you have it slow and make not as much power than you could if you had the pressure for it? especially when it comes to ethanol. i wish i would of gotten the hp now. ill be replacing my low pressure one with an hp one.

oh and heat doesnt affect it as much as you think.

What does that have to do with anything in this thread?

A high pressure fuel pump is not going to change your fuel pressure, thats what the FPR does

What are you talking baout starve the motor? Its a stock gsr, there is no need for a 255 at all.

I think you should read over the OP. It says that he wants to boost the car down the road. Since he does not know what he is going to do as of now it would be a poor decision to put a hp255 in because his works and he may need an external a few months down the road depending on the build.

And in response to this the fpr regulates the pressure that is in the line coming from the fuel pump and the line feeding the fuel rail. When you prime the fuel system (turn the key) the pump is going to push out max pressure then the fpr regulates how much pressure get through to the fuel rail.

Why would he need an external? i have seen a single walbro support 550whp, do not need to reread anything, are you suggesting he do the same job twice?

where did i say he said he "needs" a fuel pump?

i see what your getting at now, it appeared as if you where saying raising fuel pressure will increase the temperature of the fuel, which is not correct.

dude your f***ing retarded. just quit posting.

he said he wanted to turbo it. also it doesnt matter having an upgraded fuel pump on a stock motor, it wont hurt anything. and i doubt hes gonna wanna get an external pump by the sounds of him asking if he should get a 255 lp or hp, especially specifying a walbro 255. doesnt sound like its gonna be a race car or anything.

and why are you telling us how a fpr works. nothign to do with what the guy is asking.

either way boosted91REX-SI, either 255 supports a lot of power. high pressure a little more. im sure a low pressure will work just fine, as well as the high pressure. its a matter of personal choice.
