Default What is better High or Low Fuel pressure?

What is better for A/F/R high or low fuel pressure?
I have 880cc injector stock rail, and 255lp pump.
Areoamotive regulator.
Thanks

I have never understood the need for high fuel pressure (unless your injectors are to small)
fuel pumps move more fuel at lower pressure then high pressure...running high fuel pressure also puts more stress on your fuel pump and runs hotter due to increased current draw....ideally you would want to run a base pressure of 43.5-45psi and size the injectors properly.

Are you refering to all fuel pumps or just a specific pump? There are plenty of pumps designed to handle high pressure, and if you have the correct injectors the atomization of the fuel being injected improves with a high base pressure

all fuel pumps will run hotter at higher pressure do to increased current draw....granted they may be designed to run higher fuel pressure the flow rate will drop....ive also been told by a few different injector companies they give you a base pressure to run the injectors at for reason....one of those reasons being the spray pattern

idk I see alot of OEM apps going high pressure.... they have to be doing it for a reason.

I am asking because i have a current street tune on NeptuneRTP and when it was tuned first i had a cheapo ebay regulator at 40-45 PSI fuel pressure, now that i installed a solid regulator i want to use a little less gas and try not to lean it out to much.

And i must correct the injector size they are 880cc. on a SOHC

Typically you want fuel pressure at 3 bar above manifold pressure at all times. Most injectors are designed that way for consistant spray pattern.

Hey folks. Thought I might shine some light on the high pressure thing. High pressure differential between fuel manifold and the cylinder produces a spray with a greater atomization of the fuel (i.e. many smaller droplets). The same amount of fuel with more droplets = more surface area = better burn rate = greater efficiency, which should = a lesser amount of fuel for the same results.
I believe that's right.
