89 crx si NO spark need help

Icon2 89 crx si NO spark need help

ok i want to thank honda tech guys over the years with all my projects. but besides that i have a 1989 crx si and dropped a d15b jdm NON Vtec, yes non vtec ob1 motor in obd0 car. ok i got the wiring harness all on the car pluged up, and i am running a obd0 ecu, i have a jumper harness to run a obd1 ecu but i first tried a obd0 ecu just to get the motor to start up. Ok i am getting fuel and its turning over but i have no spark wat so ever.. i am using a obd1 distriputor and my ??? is why am i not gettting spark at all, its it because the obd0 ecu with a obd1 distributor,, i also though maybe i ran my distributor wires wrong through the pin out, any ideas guys, a pinout of a obd0 harness to obd1 distriputor would be a good help if anyone has one

with OBD0 ECU, you must have OBD0 distributor

yup if you have teh jumper harness and obd1 ecu use the obd1 ecu with the obd1 dist....

thanks guys,, ill try it out in the morning, and if i have no spark still wat should i look for next,, and wat a bout a resistor box,, ditch it or do i need to use it????

ignitor? but if you correct yoru wiring issues and not mickey mouse it you should not have a problem. also fuses.

- it could be the obd0 ecu because obd1 distributors have a different gear count for the TDC, CYP & CMP sensor so your ecu cant understand it (im pretty sure about this info but dont quote me on it)
- resistor box is dependant on what injectors your running. if your running peak & hold leave the resistor box, if theyre saturated take the box out
- check the coil & igniter in the distributor. its common for them to go out
