okay so ive done my googling and searching and im still kinda confused, i have a 95 civic with a d15b and my question is what year civic did the d15b come out of? im trying to look for AC for my car and the previous owner doesnt remember what year cause of the r12 and r134a ac system are different. thanks and happy new year!

 

i think the mounts on the d15b are the same as a b7 or z6 and i think the refrigerant is dependent of the car. it should be the same as what your civic is supposed to have as opposed to what was on the motor

 

but i thought the refrigerant was dependent on the system? r12 uses different stuff then r134a and yeah

 

it dependent of this system but the system is dependent of the car and not the motor. you asked what system you need because of your motor, it should be what system do i need because of my car, ya know? What year is it? i just took the a/c off my car and it did work, i just never use it

 

well i did state up there that i have a 95 civic, but it isnt the OG motor and if it was i would know what system i need the previous owner swapped in a jdm d15b motor and iono what year civics d15b's come in

 

oh, i didnt see that. The mounts to put that motor in your car is the same as the original motor so you can use the same system. The fact that you have a d15b wont change the a/c you use. Mines a 95 as well, have you found a a/c system yet?

 

i havent found a system yet, but im gonna post up a WTB thread in the marketplace or hit up my local junkyard, so if i have a 95 civic the system i should find should be a 94-95 r134a system right?
