95 Vw Golf w/ diesel swap
My Volkswagen Golf has is a 4 door hatchback 1995 body, but January 2008, there was a 1992 Eco Diesel (1.6L Turbo Diesel) engine swapped into the body. The engine has about 185K on it, and the body of the car has 260K.
"The Jetta ECOdiesel has a turbocharger and a catalytic converter that reduces particulate emissions by 50%. Like most diesel automobiles, the engine power is low, 59 horsepower."
But i have been running B5 (5% bio diesel) all summer long. And twice ran 100% bio diesel in the car. On average i get 38-40 city, and 44-52 highway. With my best getting 62mpg.
When i bought the car in late March '08 the timing belt was done, new door locks, new trunk latch. I recently had the front (left and right) tie rods replaced and control arms. Upgraded the speakers and stereo, and have Yakima control towers bolted directly to the top of the car, and 2 sportworks bike racks that will go with it. Also new horn.
The body of the car has rust on the passenger fender, a little on the hatch and drivers front fender.

In cooler temps (below freezing) it needs to be plugged in before starting to let engine and battery warm up.
Not looking to get a ton for it, but will take reasonable offers on it.

I just bought a jeep so i am only looking to sell. Unless you have some cool things to trade. (apple laptop, computer G5, a road bike, + cash or MO)
im looking to get $2500 for it.
I bought it for $3500 last year (March) and put $1200+ into it. Put less than 5000 miles on it, and i dont need it anymore. has some issues with it, but can be a good runner for $500-1000 put into it.

So i am just looking to sell or trade for the items listed above.

Still for sale.
Im guessing no one will really be interested in it till spring/summer. As of now it sits in my driveway and if anyone wants to come test drive it, ill have to plug it in for a few hours (engine block heater) :-) So it can start.
Again overall MPG all seasons... 35-50mpg
