best cams to turbo
im doing ls/vtec turbo. with a b16a1 head n wondering which cams would be best with boost about 10-13psi. that would have good low to mid range power. and low speed torque
ive heard that blox is basically skunk2 design with oem materials.
and blox has turbo designed cams, but if the oem materials would
end up not holding up to the high rpms then ide rather pay the extra
few bucks for better quality
but i like the numbers that "buddy club racing spec III plus" put up.
but im wondering if theres a better cam for a turbo set up
the turbo im planing on is the T3/T4, with a tial 40mm, but dont know what
kind of bov i want to put to work yet

if your power goals arent huge, stock cams are fine and you can spend the money elsewhere you may need it.
made 330 with a slipping clutch and gsr cams, t3t04b. made 540 with a t3t67ho and gsr cams.

gsr cams work good i made 600 plus hp on them or u can go with type r cams also, which i am running now they also work very well but also a little cost is involved
GSR cams for sure. Great powerband. Lots of low end punch out of vtec and vtec is very nice as well. i ran gsr's on my stock lsvtec and loved them. when i switched to type r's i didnt care for them over the gsr on an lsvtec with a 57 trim. On my new setup thats a different story. type r's all the way. it depends alot on manifold and turbo size as well. to much of a cam with a poor manifold will be much worse then a smaller cam
well im buying valve train parts n a manifold befor i do ls/vtec, and plan on putting high comp valves and titanium retainers and springs in ,so would a bigger cam help with the VT components or is best bet still GsR cams?

why would you put high compression valves in a turbo motor?
lol i forgot to put in there that i have valves now but im doing the ls/vtec and a B16, n i have std comp comp valves in the b16 but im puttin the high comp in the ls until i get the turbo just for a little extra power, but im keeping the compression down for the turbo, but when i get the turbo im switching the valves over to the b16 lol sorry
