1994 auto trans problem
the car is a 1994 ex 4 door. automatic.Red. all stock (besides the headlights and the radio but you all probably don't care.) well since like two days ago, my trans has been acting funny. when I accelerate the car past 3ooo rpms, the trans starts slipping and the rpms are way higher then they are supposed to be. If floored, it goes all the way to red line, then it skippes all the way to 4th gear. The torque converter isn't locking up. and when I come to a slow roll, the trans is disengaging from the engine. I have to wait a second before it engages again. So what I want to know is this the end for my transmission?? by the way, the trans fluid was changed 4 months ago.
This is my thrid transmission in 1 year. I'm not gonna get it rebuilt. Once it blows, im just gonna swap to a manual. but I have a question about that: if I buy a 95 dx 5speed, could it be possible to swap the trans into my EX?? because I can get one for under 800.
Pedal hangers (and pedals)
Shifter and control cables
Appropriate Console
Clutch controls and plumbing
Appropriate switches and sensors
Just a "heads up"
Oh, by the way. Check the Auto's fluid level. It sounds like it's low. Remember, you're not dealing with a whole bunch 'o tranny fluid and a minor leak can loose the majority of your juice pretty quick.

Of course; but you're also going to need everything required to control it like:
Pedal hangers (and pedals)
Shifter and control cables
Appropriate Console
Clutch controls and plumbing
Appropriate switches and sensors

When you get around to lineing everything up for the swap;
consider new Clutch Master and Slave Cylinders. More than likely, the one's from the donor car will be internally corroded. Also have the engine's rear main seal checked. You don't want engine oil contaminating your new clutch.
