The biggest problem with the LS VTEC (as far as i know) is the oil galley's dont line up perfectly starving the head of much needed oil. Just make sure the Galley is machined properly to allow oil to flow easily. A proper set of ARP head studs and a nice head gasket to finish of the job. And make sure you have it tuned too, otherwise you wont get what you want out of it, use this. http://www.tunewithcrome.com/

I've read of some people balancing their cranks and adding a girdle. Anything to mimic the B18C1 or C5 would be good.

i got an ls v-tec and it pull really strong. i heard b16 head is the better way to go cause it got better air flow. if you're interested i got a brand new set ARP head stud for sale. its for Ls v-tec or B20 v-tec conversion.

As far as flow, it is, other than that they're a lot different.

The main problem people have with the set ups not lasting is that they slap on a head thats made to rev and the block still is not made for it. In the All Motor forum there is a great 40+ page write up talking about it.

I have been through the BAR process and know some tricks and tips that may help you.

Before I give some detailed answers, look at your BAR sticker carefully. Next to "Eng.yr/make/size" it should say "19xx/Acura/1.8L". What I need to know is if there is anything printed in the "Comments" line??? Is it blank? If so, then you have a ton of options. If it says anything about Acura Integra LS, then you are in a pickle.

Reply back and I will provide more info.

so true. you need to have it tuned to what the block can withstand. just because the b16 head can see 8400 doesn't mean the block can handle it unless built for it. plus stock block you probably aren't making too much more power up there anyways.
