Strange electrical problem?
So a couple of days ago I wired up some auto meter gauges. I drove the the car later and everything was good. then a day or two later i go out to start it and it won't start. When I turn the key it does not make any noise. The lights also do not work. So I looked in the engine bay at the fuse box and everything looked fine. Then I tried jumping the car and nothing. I also switched out the battery and still nothing. Gounds all look fine. The strange thing is the hazard lights work. Anyone know what might be going on?
you check the main fuses...you could have done your ecu in although i doubt it....drop your dash panel and check for current at your ignition harness start there and work your way down to where the current gets cut off..if you have nothing at the ignition harness for constant then its gotta be a fuse
I pretty sure also that it's not the ecu. Which fuse is the main fuse? Would a blown fuse explain why my lights(except hazards) won't turn on and my car won't start? Thanks for your help.
The other night I checked all the fuses and they all look good. It was dark so I did have a chance to check if the ignition harness was getting power. Could the main relay be the problem?
