Default how should I run my b20?

ok after a week of thinking it through Ive decided to go with a b20? I have a fresh d15b vtec for sale by the way!

what I want to find out from those of you whom have the experience is how I should build it.

my goal is a car that is 28mpg or better that pulls hard and not too loud!

I can get a b16a2 swap for 1400 buy a b20z for 450 ,crvtec kit for 200 and a tune for 250 so 2300 for a tuned crvtec(probably around 185 whp)

or a ls swap for 700,450 for a b20z stock so 1150 for a b20z swap(ls mods add a little more to the 146 stock hp something like 156 plus boltons 145whp?)

the reason I ask is theres info everywhere that a b20vtec is prone to fail.

or should I b20z stock turbo it? turbo kit for 2500 plus the 1150 =3650 atleast 220whp off a gt28rs at 8psi.

i have a B20B with 84mm RS machine ITRspec pistons, darton mid sleeves, shot peened stock rods, GSR Head, ported, and matched ported on intake and exhaust sides,RMF header, Skunk2 PRO2's and complete proseries valvetrain. gsr trans with MFactory LSD and 4.9 final drive, car made 230 whp and 148ftlbs. redline is at 8200, tuned on S300 and 52mm twm itb's and rc 310cc injectors. i've been running this motor set-up for 2years and no problems other than a new clutch and driver side axle. hope this helps.

nice! I'm running a JDM B20b with GSR head (Golden Eagle kit) with a chipped P72, GSR Transmission, SAFCII, 8200 redline, blah blah in my Del Sol Si. Love the torque compared to my B18 EK.

OP- Check out B20VTEC.com, they have a thread that details the entire swap and all the parts to build a reliable B20VTEC. My swap has been running (and running GOOD!) for over 2.5 years. I'm getting 480km a tank, so around 30mpg if I take it easy.

oh yea, and the B20b makes more TQ than the B18C5 does, so with a well put together B20VTEC you could theoretically beat a stock ITR off the line.
