Default idle problem

i did a ls swap into my hatch and im having an idle problem it idles around 1.8grand the idle control screw is completely removed so it wont go any lower. the o2 sensor isnt plugged in but i dont think that would cause it to idle so high would it(hope its not this the o2 plug cost 114$)? could be high timing i dont really want to mess with that to much but i will if i have to. if i let my car set for a while it will idle to 2grand and roll so i goes baaaaa bahm baaaaa bahm and that dont sound cool when your going through town and everyone is like is this guy an idiot? any ideas of what my problems could be

Try cleaning your IACV with carb cleaner. If that doesn't fix it I'd install the idle screw and adjust it. I don't think the O2 sensor controls idle at all (I could be wrong).

first just put the idle screw back in ..... screwing it in will bring the idle down and screwing it out with bring it up... and see where it idles then ... and let me know... if iacv was bad it will surge alot.... but in some situations i have seen it idle the car high but not in very many it would be like the gasket leaking or the iacv cracked....
