Can I use a p13 ecu on a 92 prelude????
can i use the p13 from a 97 Sh for my 92 4WS without any wiring done except for the vtec??? The only thing i know is that they plug right in, will i be having problems because i dont have the ATTS system??? I have swaped to a vtec motor...
thanks
thanks
The 97 P13 will be OBDII, so it will not plug into to your OBDI harness. Here's the difference:

it's 3 plugs vs 4. Plus ATTS should be controlled by the ECU, so that may bring more problems. Just get an OBDI P13.

Those plugs are OBDII and OBDII version 2.

p13 ecu's are only 92-96 ecu's. 97-up are not p13's. they have another code which i don't have in front of me at the moment.
you will not be able to use your 4ws unless you have the jdm 4wsvtec ecu.

SH = P5P
You're right Bgod I don't even know what mine says. So is his a P13 or not? that is the question. If it's from a 97 SH it should be P5P

satan, i think yours should say p1337850a11. i forget if the 37850 is right but all the p13's are labelled this way. but the 96 is a11 i believe. i used to run the 96 obd2 ecu in my accord.
the 97-up ecu's will not even plug into the obd1 plug/harness.
to the topic originator. check your ecu. the code is on the shell of the ecu. there will be a white label. much like a label when you buy electronic goods. that will let you know what ecu you have.

Well, the ecu does say p13... and as for the 4WS, i guess it will not be working, ill try to get the jdm one like you guys said... and im not really gonna run the h22a4, i was supposed to but it turns out it was an Sh motor with the ATTS so everything went bad.. i had to go a different way... for the past week me and my friends have been putting together the h23a vtec!!! last nite we got it in the car and tonite we are gonna try to start it!!!!
