96 EK ECU PLUG ?
96 Civic DX Hatch
01 JDM B18C Swap
Originally an automatic car, converted to manual. For some reason the shop used a P72 ecu
but kept the original automatic harness. One of the plugs that plugs into the ECU wont
go in at all. Its the wrong shape. Questions are as follows:
Are automatic harnesses different at the ECU plugs than the manual versions?
Could the problem be with the OBD difference of the ECU's? Are obd2a plugs different at the
ECU than OBD2.5?
Thanks in advance for any help.

No they are not. The OBD2a chassis' use the A, C and D plugs. The OBD2b chassis' use the A, B and C plugs. The auto plugs are either B for OBD2a or D for OBD2b. The plugs themselves are the same throughout the years. You have a few options. Convert to OBD2b to run the ecu....but it may or may not have the immobilizer in it. Convert to OBD1. Or get an OBD2a ecu.
