Just like the title says, what are the benefits to a typer vs gsr swap?
Thanks

Ok I understood that the Type-r brakes were going to be superior but by how much?
Would the GSR brakes with a good set of pads be comparable?
Also what's the big deal about the 5 lug?
Is the 5 lug really any better than the 4 lug?
I blame myself for not asking the right questions

Get a GSR set up with some good pads. I think that set up would be more than adequate (sp?) for your car. Add a 1 inch MC/Booster and you're golden.
5 lug is cool. I dunno..it's up to you. 5 lug has some baller appeal..and they are dope brakes, but they are a little heavier..and might draw the wrong attention to your car.

Actually I better explain the application, this will be for a cx w/ an h22 swap so does the GSR rotors fit the bill for stopping power or would the 5 lug be better
I hadn't thought about that, I definately do not want flashy, i don't want anybody stealing stuff from the car or stealing it period.

Trending Topics
1) GSR front knuckles ($80 pair) with ITR rotors redrilled to 4 lug ($75 a pair) and ITR calipers ($120 a pair)
2) GSR rear disc conversion ($300 or less)
3) stainless brake lines ($100)
That is all you will need, the bigger'n'better front brakes will "help" you with an H-series swap in a civic. Check http://www.fastbrakes.com for rotors, calipers and hub centric rings to make the ITR rotors work on GSR front hubs/knuckles.
cheap upgrade too.

5-lug conversions are cool, i kinda look at it as the finishing touch on a already well done ride. helps to balance the braking
ower ratio when motor swaps are done. don't like the idea you have to get new rims with the upgrade, but sometimes there are a few ITR owners desperate enough to swap out 4 lug conversions so they can run 14" drag slicks at the track.

if you'ved got the money go with the 5-lug(bling bling)
for practicallity go with gsr rear brake set up.
then get the fastbrakes big brake kit for the front and rear...i think it's like 11.2 front and 11.4 in the rear...

Most ITR brakes somewhere in the neighborhood of $1500 complete
with wheels. GSR complete brakes can be had for $500+. I've seen
some full sets for $400, but that's not too realistic.
