Alright, B16a engine, tried explaining that you don't gain any power after about 7900 rpm and that your just wasting time taking it all the way to 8500-9000 especially since your redline is at 8200. (the ecu is chipped w/no rev limiter). Now, shifting at 8200 or so is perfect because that way you won't have to shift into 4th in the quarter mile... and that does save around .2 seconds, BUT it is not necessary to go all the way to 9000.
but you know what....with that torque less wonder known as a B16....you want to make LOW END power, so that you dont have to go to 900000000000 rpm's just to make power

IMOIf you want 'good' low end torque, you shouldn't be messing with Honda's.
