Intake manifold swap, need tech help
Well i got the my Helms manual in and my intake manifold in. Will be attempting it this coming weekend. Wanted to get some help, maybe from people who have done this particular swap before. Heres the details:
I have a 92 civic VX(d15z1) bone stock
Have and going to add a civic EX(d16z6) stock intake manifold and TB.
Who has tackled this before? I know my VX has some extra cabling and was going to try and just wing it with the helms manual at my side. But if anyone has done this and can tell me what they did about the difference in cabling and such it would be REALLY helpful.
Oh and if you have pics or anything like a walkthrough that would be amazingly helpful.
Thanks.

Re: Intake manifold swap, need tech help (Ricey McRicerton)
thanks Ricey, but i was looking for info in regards to the VX's specific wiring setup with regards to the EX TB/Manifold. Since its an efficiency engine (VTEC-E) I wanted to get a better idea of what i was up against.

If anyone knows someone who has done this swap, help me out and throw them an IM about this. I just dont want to go into this blindly, even with the helms i dont have the info i fully need.

Re: Intake manifold swap, need tech help (splitime)
I was going to attempt to put a z6 intake on my 95 cx, but was advised against it. MistaBone, who seems to know his **** said it wouldn't help out the motor at all, but It would fit. I'm getting a spare cx intake and I'm going to modify it to accept an si TB. If you are going from vtec to vtec, it shouldn't be a problem. But I don't know for sure!
