Icon2 anti-surge holes on compressor housings....

does anyone know if anyone makes a anti-surge compressor housing for a precision sc34? (57 trim, .60 a/r and .63 a/r exhaust)

if not then has anyone ever modified their compressor housing by drilling anti surge holes in it? if so does anyone have anymore info on this?

i found this pic of guy who drilled holes in his. but i dont know exactly how to drill it. just looking for some more info if any is out there. thanks..

I never had any issues on my 57 trim with surging..I wouldn't bother.

Kinda confused by the first picture with the make-shift compressor housing but are you just looking to drill a standard sc34 cover?

I ask cause as you can see in the picture in the last post the ported housings actually have a small milled channel/ machined area in the housing just below the edge of the inducer of wheel which the drilled/ shroud merge with to allow for the inducer bleed (please someone correct my terminology I have only a limited understanding). Obviously a standard cover would not have that milled area and if my understanding is correct, I dont think it is as simple as drilling a straight shot in a standard housing.

Have you checked to see if precision offers a drilled or shrouded cover for the sc34.

I know on my previous sc6152sp I had a drilled cover from them, dont know if they offered a milled shrouded cover though. On my new billet 6265 they offered both.

i just talked to precision, sc61 is the smallest turbo they make that compressor housing for.

yea im not really sure on the milled channels or holes so thats what i was wondering about.

Hopefully TheShodan will spot this to add his input about modifying the housing or how to do it. I know just enough to be dangerous so someone like him would be more informed source.
