I have had my zc swaped ef civic for about 8 months now and the check engine light just came on about a month ago!!! i replaced the tps with a blox from mark at one6 and the ****in light is still on!!!! i traced the wires all the way back and they are not cut, splices, striped or anything. The car idles at like 500 rpms fights to stay runnin and runs super rich...... If you move the tps the rpms go up like they should but the light will not turn off. I tried a pm6 and it still did the same ****!!!!!!!! Disconnected the batteries and let it sit, still the ****in lights on....... Damn hondas... help please

 

first dont damn the hondas that has nothen to do with it one of my cars did that before and it wasnt a honda

 

Maybe the idle air control valve? Is the idle jumpy or consistently around 500 rpms?

 

did you reset the TPS where it was?
ie. .5V Closed throttle and 4.5-5V WOT?

 

my crx check-engine light only comes on when im lettin off the throttle in 5th gear...something to do with downshifting.

Its not throwing any other codes besides 7. The car runs fine it still pulls hard (for a zc haha) it just wont idle for nothing, the r's dont JUMP they are constantly around 500. I dont think that the tps that i bought is bad outta the box. So once again im stuck at square one with no certain diagnosis as to why the check light is on .... Any one got any other ideas hit me up or pm me. Thanks Craig....

 

thats weird that it comes on in 5th when you let off....
Take off your intake and look inside the TB.. If theres gunked crap clean it out then
See...

Maybe take the TB off to clean.. that way..
You can make sure the V on the TPS is set to right specs.(easier)

 

everything is good... no more light!!!!!!!!
