Questions about HID kit
When i bought my 99 civic, the previous owner had installed " angel eye" headlights. I bought OEM headlights and want to buy one of the HID kits, sold by one of our sponsors in the Marketplace. Since i only have one bulb will the kit be for my high and low beams? Do i need to install shrouds to keep the light directed? Any other info i need to know about these kits woulb be greatly appreciated before i purchase.

A Plug-n-play kit in stock headlights will be horrible. There's nothing you can do to keep it from having tons of glare, massive hotspots, horrible beam pattern, or all of the above.
Not to mention most kits are very poor quality.
You really should do an OEM HID projector retrofit. Lots of people on here and on HID planet have done it. Check out www.hidplanet.com/forums

I went to HIDplanet and checked out the OEM kits. Which one do i need, would anyone work? I'm a major noob when it comes to HID's but im trying to learn up on them as much as possible. www.hidplanet.com/package.html Does the kit have everything I will need? Thanks for the direction
EDIT- just noticed two of the three are discontinued. Does the Phillips kit have everything needed?

Just read this to see why HID kits are a waste of money:

If you don't want to read all the text, click on the embedded youtube video on the page.
Do yourself and other people on the road a favor and not buy a kit. The ONLY proper way to get HID lighting is to do a retrofit as PatrickGSR94 said.

On that page the only kit you can get is the ballst and bulb kit at the bottom. Also cause your EM1 uses an H4 bulb you'll need to look at Bi-xenon projectors to retain the high beam function. The RS6 kit is what I'd suggest if you wanna step into hid retrofitting:
There are better projetors (both xenon and bi-xenon) but per demand the price is generally higher...
