The 30-1040 is produced for manual transmissions only. (To my knowledge)

The AEM FIC module will probably work as it is a piggy back.

AEM refuses to support Honda auto transmissions, however, the EMS is perfectly capable of controlling it as long as the solenoids are low impedance (below 14 ohms) which I'm pretty sure they are.

The OBD1 auto Civics are partially computer controlled, while OBD2's are completely electronically controlled.

If you buy an EMS and you need to get it tuned, probably the only tuner willing and able to set it up and tune it for you is Scott at Motiva in New Mexico.

From what i read you need to run the injector driver with the EMS, not to sure though. As for a tuner i have some pretty good ones local to me including Tempest Racing and Absolute Proformance
