Default Smelling Gas Fumes

And not from my rear end.

Whenever i get out of the car when parking in the garage i smell gas fumes. Maybe this is one of the reasons i am getting 25mpg from a sohc zc swap? >< where should i check on my fuel lines?

ps: i am not smelling gas inside my cab, only outside.

if you smell gas you definitely have a fuel leak or open tank(water residing on top the tank will do that to it over so long). i wouldnt drive the car with the smell of the gas aroma lingering like you describe it.

Oh, my bad, it said cab not carb, running rich could mean your pouring too much fuel into your cylinder and not all of it is burning.
Check your fuel lines for leaks, and check all your vaccumm lines too, also check your gas tank, some peoples have leaks where you pour the gas in.
Is your gas cap good?

Any codes? Check your ignition timing. If it's off it could be causing it to smell rich.

look around your injectors on the intake manifold. check if its dirty, like a lot of sludge. your injectors are leaking if thats the case. double check by taking some brake cleaner and cleaning the manifold surface off completely. then recheck a few days later.

btw, does it take long for you to start your car in the mornings?

Sometimes, a new gas cap with a fresh gasket will cure gas fume issues.

This happened to me one day at a Shell Gas Station... check your fuel rail and components, and check to see that the fuel line hasn't rubbed chafed inside the engine compartment... that's the best I got for that problem... and don't overfill your gastank... that could be a number of things though, cracked fuel line, leaky fuel filter, do you have the right FPR for your swap?, etc. that is just going to take some time to track down, is it puddling up fluids on the floor?
