Default Sleeved GSR overheating, need some help HT!!! complex problem

Ok here it goes, got a fully built GSR sleeved with Darton M.I.D sleeves, 84.5mm bore, used a 85mm Cometic head gasket, as the title states, i ran it for 3 weeks with no problem than one day, im watching the gages and the water temp just started climbing unit i had to turn it off, so after trying a bunch of things with no luck no im almost out of ideas. so heres what i did and there is no leaks anythwere.
1. replaced Oil cooler lines with oem lines( one was pinched)
2.ckecked the thermostat, works fine
3. tryed bubbling out possible air bubbles from cap

so heres the wierd part, at idle it will warm up fine, and it can sit for a long time not overheating, but the second i drive it within 30 seconds of moving it the temp starts climbing vary quick;y until in forced to turn the engine off. when assembe used a good water pump, took it off the motor i pulled out . so now whats left. could it bee a bad head gasket seal? pushing air into the water jacket???

PLEASE HT I NEED SOME ADVICE!!!!

compression test it, and make sure water flows through your radiator easily. also is air getting in there? is that the problem? or, does it just get hot? do you have an oil pressure gauge? was the head resurfaced and/or checked for straightness? is it burning any fluids?

has fine compression over 300 across the board, i dont know if it is somehow getting air in. but it is deffinatly getting hot, once it warms all the way up if i check the rad hoses only the top is hot, boath have pressure,. oil is clean , not leaking any coolent from any exterior spot, as for the head/ block boath very strait. srry no oil pressure gauge

also when i bled the bubbles from the radiator fill neck , started it completely cold, and let it bubble untill fully warmed up, after that it started shooting out water in big spirts and i had to keep pouring in more coolent to compenstate, is that just more air comming out? or just what it does when its hot?

Sounds normal! thats what mine did. you should bleed until it is a continuous flow from the valve.

what makes u think your thermostat is ok? does the bottom hose ever get hot?
dumb question-did you burp the radiator with the heat on?
water pump?
did anything else change?
is it losing coolant? i know you said it is not leaking
were u pushing it hard right before this started?
what were the last mods done to the car?

i took the thermostat out, did the boiling water trick, opend fine. the bottom hose does not get hot, yes i burbped it with heat fully on, the water pump works find. it started when i first started in up about ten miles of driving, just steady driving it heats up. as for mods its a complete built motor i mean i hot amost no unmoddified parts on it

wiat, i should burp it until the flow is continous from the filler whole? i burp it until it heats all the way up then after a min or soo after it starts shooting out wildly! like random blasts that get like a foot tall!!! should i keep bleeding afta that?

if your bottom hose doesnt get hot your thermostat doesnt open, who cares about the boiling water trick just get a new thermostat... and make sure it isnt installed backwards lol....

^what he said. water is not moving through the thermo it sounds like. unless you are revving it to 10,000rpm to burp it, water should not shoot 1foot blasts out of the radiator.

oh got ya, ya thats just because of the building pressure from zero circulation, yes it was the T-stat, took it out to run it strait just to see, and sure as hell, that was the prob, it runs too cold now, after 20 min on the freeway it got to cold to hit vtec!!! so 2moro getting a new t-stat, Thanks for the help guys

thanks for coming back and telling everyone what happened.
it is good for the search function when the solution is there.
most of the time, people never come back and say what it was
