do the SSR comps come in 17x7.5 AND 17x8? i looked on tirerack and they only have 17x8 for sale.

 

Realtime bought all of the 17x7.5 SSR comps.

 

Velox just released some 17" "hot forged" wheels. they supposedly weigh only 12.5 lbs each.

Anywho, I was going to purchase a set of SSRs a while back, but Tirerack didn't have them in stock. They were specified to be 17x7.5", I'm pretty sure on that.

 

ok so am i fucked? cause one of my wheels is completely destroyed and i need to find ONE freaking rim that is 17x7.5! anybody know where else they sell these?

 

If you can't find any in the states, contact takakaira,inc. in Cali or Leo (ITRinEJ) on this board. It should be a cake to get those imported from Japan.

 

Have you called TireRack? They are the only official SSR distributor in the US, and there is a high likelihood that they can get you a new one, even if the Web site doesn't list them as in stock. If you have SSR Competitions, they were originally purchased from TireRack (JDM imports are called the "type C"), so they should help you out. I bought some OZ wheels from them a while back for my brother's car, and he proceeded to trash one of them. TireRack tracked down the last 2 of that model in the country for me.

 

...opposed to the "cold forged" wheels they are going to be releasing end of 2002 which supposidly weigh 10.5 lbs
