Sorry if this is in the wrong place. But, I wish someone made a good way to drain all the coolant from your motor. Some sort of valve or something that you could screw into the freeze plug on the front of the block that you could attach a hose or something to to drain the block. I know you can drain the radiator and drain the block but it still seems to go everywhere when you unscrew that plug.

I might talk to a buddy of mine (Rosko from Rosko Racing). He makes lots of CNC **** to make me something.

Or am I just stupid and doing something wrong. I can never seem to keep the floor totallyndry when I have to do something lime this.

Sorry, can't sleep so I'm in bed posting this from my phone.

I'm not exactly sure what you want your friend to design for you, but i would suggest buying a larger coolant drain pan first. See if that helps keep the coolant mess contained.

Remove thermostate, detach both radiator hoses from the radiator, rig up a water hose to the top or bottom hose, pressurize the system sort of, and then open up the capped end with bucket in hand.

I just want some sort of valve to drain all the coolant without spilling a drop. I don't think it would take much to make something. I'm just throwing this out. I'm not saying it's gonna happen. Im asking if people think this would be possible or if I'm just being stupid.

I have the biggest pan I could find at auto parts stores here.

bottom line you are working on a car, its not gonna be a clean job....and besides its just coolant, all you have to do is spray it with some water....and on top of that how often do you really need to drain/flush your coolant

you're not doing it right... I never had a problem of it going "everywhere"... plus I think you can put a hose on the stock drain plug on the block.
