gsr front rotors on civic?
alot of people have been telling me that I can put gsr front rotors on my dx civic coupe, is this true? Will this really affect my stopping power and do I have to make any mods?
if you put the Teg knuckles on also, yes.
Just get a Teg front brake swap (knuckles to calipers) and install on your DX.
Best $150 you'll ever spend!

I put them on the front of my 96 civic dx and it helped stopping power quite a bit, the pedal felt a lot better too. All u need are the knuckles, calipers, discs, the stock brake lines will fit, mine did. Definatly a good, cheap upgrade.
I just did the whole GSR brake swap. You should get rear disc brake too. The GSR front calipers are better so I would suggest doing the whole knuckle/caliper assembly. If you do this swap do the 1" master cylinder/booster and proportioning valve.

so what brakes parts from a GSR would fit on my 97 ek (front and back)?? im planning on getting a set of 94 GSR rims so im sure they'll clear the calipers.
How much you wanna bet?
VERY commom swap. YOur using complete Teg parts, WHY would it not fit?
Rememeber I said you must use the Teg knuckles also.
Simple unbolt/bolt-on swap.

i've been tailgating so much ever since my gsr knuckles were installed, this mess stops hella fast compared to the stock cx, when i tested my friends car(cx w b18c1) i could stop after redlining 2nd.... that tells you the differents... this **** ROCKS!!!!!

felt a LOT better than my old slotted + ceramic pads vs the gsr rotors + nearly-dead stock pads (which I was suprised). I believe '94+ civics w/ abs or 4wd (ex/si) had the larger 10.4" rotors (same as gsr), so the dx/cx/lx's had the 9.5" rotor. anyways - swap the whole knuckle/rotor/caliper + reuse the civic brake line that goes onto the caliper. hope that helped some.

I think the Teg front brakes would be enough for a street car. IMO rear discs on a street Honda are for for aesthetic appeal than anything else. If you're going to take it to the track, might as well get all 4 corners done.
* Still awaiting the response of the dood who got GSR brakes to clear HX wheels
