remove shift **** (send it to me), pop off the shift plate (the fake carbon fiber plastic that says integra), the screws that hold the boot on are underneathe the plate.

If you have never fiddled with your shift boot or center console, there are two screws (#47) holding the shift console in place (#10). You have to remove the entire console (#9) and get at those two screws, once removed you can unscrew another two screws holding the shift boot to the console. Installing the new one takes only about 5-10mins at most.

Thats if you have the 00+ spec **** thats metal...The 98 has a leather shift ****. It just snaps in. Just push down on top of the boot and it will snap off the ****.

the best way to do it without damaging anything is this-

remove the entire boot, unscrew the **** with the boot still attached, then take needle nose pliers and squeeze the clips off from under the ****, it will pop right out.

Be gentle though. The two snaps from the boot to the **** aren't super duper strong and can break.
