Default Honda Accord 98 LX

hello, I have a problem when I am driving my car sometimes it will act like it is going to turn off all the lights will come on and my door locks open and close it has shut off on me a few times and then turns right back on I hear it may be the alarm system they put after buying the car what do you think

the lights in my car keep going on the brake light srs light abs light and the locks go on and off all this happens when i am driving it has shut off on me a couple of times the the car starts right up again whats wrong

okay,,,with no diagnostic information, I'll pull out the crystal ball............Hmmmm,
It wants to know if the battery terminals are clean and tight?

I'll shake it up a little more;
A little cloudy in there; I'll throw it in the oven for a few minutes.............Hmmmmm,

You need to replace the electrical portion of your ignition switch, or at least drop off the steering column shroud and look at the solder connections, for 'frosty' looking [overheated]or melted solder joints.

v6? if so, milage? 90K or so, most likely time for a new alt from an oddessy, TL or CL

Riiiiiiiight; don't correctly and accurately diagnose the problem just start throwing expensive parts at it.

just because YOU think it MIGHT be something else.........

funny I had a V6 LX and it did the same **** before the alt died.........but I guess in your hurry to talk **** you missed the part where I said and I quote for you to see it again....

"most likely time for a new alt "

yeah car would almost die and the instrument panel went nuts......and guess what the ignition switch recall had been done the previous month.......due to the car randomly turning off at times.......it would just die and all the idiot lights would come on......

Agreed, surprising what a low voltage issue will cause.
