I've been looking for a hid kit too get for my car and I've seen a million of them online...the only one I've heard of too be good is the philips 4100k..but I can't even find where too buy it at...all help appreciated thanks..
Don't get a kit. Do it right with a full projector retrofit, or not at all.
So to answer your actual question without just posting **** in your thread...
You can find a bunch of different kits on eBay. I don't think Philips sells kits other than to dealers to put in factory cars. I could be wrong though.
And as far as HID's in stock headlights go, they will glare pretty bad so you will have to aim them down quite a bit to get good road coverage and so you don't blind other drivers. Ultimately a full retrofit will give you the best look...but it can be rather costly.
Good luck in your search.
After about 2 minutes of searching I found a Philips kit on eBay.

You can get a basic setup for about $4-500 depending on who and where you buy from or what you buy. Check out HIDplanet for resources, theres a lot of different projectors, ballasts, and everything that you can mix and match to suit your needs.

The Philips company does not produce an HID "kit". Period. They make and sell HID components to auto manufacturers and consumers for use in OEM HID systems - things like the bulbs and ballasts. But a kit made to fit a halogen application is put together by someone else, with bulbs rebased by someone else.
That eBay ad for Philips "kit" is most likely just some company slapping the Philips name on the box and hoping for a quick sale on those fairly high-priced components.
While the quality of the components may be good, if they are actually Philips components (most likely way better than the cheap@$$ $100 kits), I can tell you for a fact that an HID capsule in an H4 reflector application is pure ***, no matter what type of lens it is (prismatic or free form reflector). Not to mention you will lose high beams if you stick an HID bulb in an H4 housing without some sort of ghetto servo control that moves the bulb position inside the housing.
Bottom line: kits suck. Completely. Totally. Suck.
Spend the extra money to do a proper retrofit with quality OEM components. I did back in 2004 and I'm still using the same bulbs and the same ballasts I've had since December 2002. You won't find a $100 kit that will last that long, I guarantee it.

I have e-mailed Philips Australia with a link to that eBay seller's store to confirm if those are actually Philips kits. Of course I already know what the answer is. I hope Philips shuts him down.

Has that shop actually done HID projector retrofits before? I would never trust any shop that hasn't ever done one before, because most people have not researched and have the knowledge to do such a thing, have it perform well, have it look good (ideally like stock), and have it last for many years.
