Icon2 Running new speaker cable to the doors

Hi everyone, I own a 1998 Civic EXR Sedan and would appreciate any idea on how to pass speaker wire from underneath the dash to the front doors. I´m having trouble figuring this out since all the wiring is connected to a wire harness wich makes impossible to run any wire through. I´m trying to run new wire to power a new set of mids. Thanks in advance!!

as you already discovered, there is a bulkhead plug at the door that the wiring passes through. the easiest way to run new wire into the door is to run it through the factory loom -- to get it into the door, remove the fender and drill a new hole just above the the plug. install a grommet in the hole you just drilled and run the wire through it. done deal.

This is what I would recommend and what I have done in all my cars. Take the factory wiring from the head unit to the rear speakers. Unhook the speaker wire from the speakers and plug that end into your amp. Then take out the head unit and unhook the wires up front. Take the wires that originally went from your head unit to the door speakers and hook them to the wires that was originally run from your head unit to your rear speakers. then you have speaker wire running from your amp to your door speakers. I know it sounds a bit complicated but just read it a few times.
