Do you see any fluid on the ground under the car where there may be a leak? You may have a hole in one of you brake lines. If not, I would be looking at the master cylinder. When the seals go bad the fluid will bypass the seals.

Your Master Cylinder has turned to trash from the failure to flush the brake fluid from the system routinely.
Brake fluid absorbs water over the course of time; and when it becomes supersaturated it starts corroding things metal. things like Master and Brake cylinders, brake pipes (lines). When this corrosion gets far enough along, the seals on the cylinders' pistons can't conform to the damaged cylinder walls. Thus the loss of pedal.
You can probaly expect a range of from 100.00 to 200.00 depending on where you have it done.

Be aware it will probably return, and without much warning.
The fresh brake fluid will temporarily swell the piston seal, but the underlying condition still exists.
Hopefully, it won't be at a criticle point when it decides to go on a sabaticle. Has the Master Cylinder ever been replaced?

I agree with P. Adams. You will be replacing soon, and if I were you for safety reasons, I would do it ASAP, very simple to DIY.

Do yourself a BIG favor and (If you're still employed) start setting aside a few bucks a week and schedule the M/C replacement.

None of us are very good with obituaries.

Brake Pedel goes directly to the floor; no passing GO, no collecting 200$.

It can onset gradually where you can grab an intermittant brake pedal by pumping the pedal, and gets progressively worst over time OR
It can fail catastrophically and not respond at all.

He'd have a better chance doing a "Fred Flintstone" than rely on the hand Brake
