so i was thinking of getting my dad one of those bi-xenon HID conversion kits off e-bay for christmas. he has oem headlights. are these a waste of money or will they work well with oem headlights? any reasons behind your opinions?
i was also thinking of getting him one of the oem style foglights kits they have on e-bay for any where from $30-$50. are these kits any good? if so which color kit should i buy? the yellow, black, or clear lenses?

 

what kind of car does he drive? and not a good idea unless the car came factory with projectors.

 

My advice is always to buy the foglights from wherever you want and get the wiring harnesses from the dealer (or OEM distributor). That way there is no wire splicing/ fires/ blown fuses and you know it's going to work right.
A few of the guys in my shop have the HID kits and they work pretty good. But not as good as a headlight unit that was designed for HID.

those off ebay will work fine. Dont go with the cheapy sets. The install is quite easy. No major wiring is required.

 

those kits are of ebay are just fine to use. arent the 04 accord have reflectors and not projectors? if so then i would recommend against it. you will blind everyone on the road and your light output will not be good at all

in regards to the fog lights, i would get the OEM ones. DO NOT BUY the knockoff ones. my girlfriend bought a set for her TSX and it was a nightmare to put in. you have to splice so many wires and make your own wiring harness. I would just save yourself time and money and get the OEM ones.
