Default Wiring repair question

When removing my upper cat heat shield, I accidentally striped a small section of wire on the O2 sensor... Since there's no room for tape or heat shrink tubing, Is there a goo that hardens, preferably dielectric material that I can piant on?
thanks!

First of all, which wire is it? If it's a ground wire I wouldn't worry about it. But if it is the supply or the sender, and there is any chance in hell it's going to short out I would drop the cat and fix it properly. If the power wire shorts out your car won't be going anywhere, since it's on the same cicuit as the PGM-FI Main Relay.

I'm not sure where to have you find it, But I have a container of what's labeled as "Liquid Electrical Tape" somewhere aroung here.

It's also used for coating the handles of electrical pliers and the like, this one is red in color (not that this matters).

Best guess would be a hardware/electrical specialty store.
Maybe even a Home Depot or something. HTH

Cool, thanks...
I think there's two black one green and one white.
It's one of the black ones.

Before I crawl under the car again, I'm sure it was black, the rest are a blur.

Here's my guess.

The Big White wire is the O2 signal wire going to the ECU
Green wire is probably the + (hot) wire powering the heating element of the O2 sensor.
The Black wires are most likely the ground loops for the O2 sensor and the heating element.

Sorry, don't have my ITR manuals with me. Ed

Marine (Boating) supply houses carry this stuff.

I don't think this one needs replacement, only a tiny bit shiny where the wire is exposed. (about 1/8th inch long)
