prothane bushings

Default prothane bushings

i have a 93 hatch and im putting integra front spindals front sway bar and rear disc brakes. my question is what prothane bushing kit do i need integra or civic? im guessing integra but i wanted to make sure

i believe they both use the same bushing but i'm not to sure

I am doing the same thing and I just ordered all of my bushings from www.suspension.com

Everything is the same except the rear lower control arms. Just cross reference the part #'s from the site between Eg and Integra. I bought front and rear, upper and lower control arms from an Integra. I needed the lowers for sway bars since I have a DX, and the uppers came with the swap I bought. When I went to purchase the bushings I found that they are the same from EG to Integra.

Note: I am not sure about sway bars. I bought Eibach bars and they come with new bushings. Again, just check the site and compare part #'s.

Note2: Buy shock bushings too. They are the bushing that connects the shocks and struts to the control arms. They are not included with the control arm bushings.

do not use energy suspension bushings for the rear trailing arms. They're good for everything else, but that. Go with OEM, Megan or anything but ES. You do not want a solid piece for that bushing.

Megan will last a lot longer and give a little better handling, although you may not notice the handling part.

I too have heard this..... That was after the fact though. A little oversteer would be great though...LOL

i have es bushin on both my trailing arms. they bithz put in i never had any trouble with them runin them over 10k no trouble at all.

That's good news.

Yeah, I am lucky enough to be pressing all of my bushings in before I do my swap. I really planned it that way too because there is just no way I could do it in a day or so.

are the ball joint and tierod end boots necessary? also for the integra front spindals you use the integra lower controls arms correct because it has the mounting location for the sway bar? and for the rear disc im going to use the stock civic trailing arm and just replace the drum brakes with the disc brakes so id use all civic bushings in the rear correct?

No, the boots are not necessary. I bought all new Moog tie rods and ball joints and they are excellent quality. I may not put the boots on them. For the control arms, Yes. I used the Integra ones for the front and rear because they have the mounting points. I have a DX and my car did not have sway bars. The front bushings are the same as an Integra. However, the rear LCA's are a different part #. The Integra bushings are larger. Other than that, all control arm bushings are the same between EG's and 94-01 Integras.
For the trailing arm, if you are just swapping the rear hub then you will use the Civic bushings.

I also would leave the boots alone unless they are torn already....he's right moog is excellent quality stuff

awsome great info. another question i had a guy pm me and ask how do you mount the front sway bar to the body? is there already threaded holes for the brackets and bushings from the integra? i have a 93 dx one more thing i plan on buying an aftermarket rear sway bar so i still use the civic control arms correct?

The holes will be in the body already. You may have to source bolts, but if you are going with a aftermarket bar then check to see if your new kit comes with them.

The LCA's from your Civic will not work if you don't already have a factory bar there. You will have to get either 92-95 Civic Si or the more popular 94-01 Integra rear lower control arms. They are the same, but the Integra LCA's are much easier to find. They have a lobe with a hole in it in the middle of the arm that the bar attaches to. Post up a WTB in the marketplace, you will find a set within a few days .
