I've decided to get a header with a good high end for my EG6 and I don't care what the price tag is..7-800 USD doesn't matter I just want to be sure that it's the best performing header..So what should I get ??
Saw the dyno tests on the ITR and judging from that it should be Toda or SMSP http://www.ap-engineering.com/header.html
But is it the same for the B16A" ?? Anyone ???

 

type-r header will work just as good as any aftermarkets....Honda does extensive research all the parts they make to make sure u get the best...same goes with gaskets/ignition wires/ect. all that stuff by honda will ensure proper fitment and performance

 

i do not know which are the best brand-wise, but i believe you should go with the 4-1 for top end, and 4-2-1 for acceleration. i could be wrong though...

 

The JDM Type R 4-1 with the 2.5" collector is as good as it gets. I have it on my B16a with no regrets, it definitely opens up at top end.

 

DC JDM 4-1 is your best bet as for the most bang for the buck.

i've seen the header going for as low as $289.95 before.

I want to go for a 4-1 no doubt about that..But not looking for 'bang for the buck' ..More like just bang hehe... So anyone know where I can get those Toda or SMSP headers for a reasonable price ??

This is for a ITR though.

 

Hytech make's awesome stuff but there price's are very high. They make alot of custom headers and manifolds like the one for stephen papadakis's car.

 

My guess is that you would be waiting for quite some time if you wanted to get a Hytech or SMSP. Toda headers are more readily available.

If you don't have "big" cams or other "heavy" mods I would suggest just going for the JDM ITR or JDM DC header.
