what type of welding

Default what type of welding

I was wondering what type of weld i could use to weld the blow off valve on the intercooler piping?

jb weld lol jk a good mig welder (wirefeed). aluminum can be tricky to weld. be careful not to get it too hot or it will crack.

Well, seeing as how you don't really give much info as to what materials you have, I'd say GTAW.

underwater welding is good for bov attachment too!



kidding.

if it's mild steel anything will work really, mig, tig, stick. doesn't matter so long as you know what you're doing.

if it's stainless, same thing applies.

if it's aluminum you can mig it with a spool gun or tig it, they make aluminum smaw rods, but they're gross to weld with.

If you don't have much experience then I would just do a mig weld. Also, as noted by SImadness, make sure it is not too hot. If you have any scrap piping, do a few practice welds
