Default anything else needed after IM install?

Just installed skunk2 IM on a gsr. Can I use the stock ecu and have it run fine?

Yes you can use the stock ECU, for the same reason you don't have to chip the ECU when you install exhaust... it's not that major of a modification to require other upgrades.

Hold on, remember that its a GS-R. With the secondary butterflies, which use an ECU controlled solenoid to operate the secondary butterflies. The Sk2 intake is normal style intake with only only on path for incoming air to take. The only thing I don't know is if the ECU will throw a code when the IAB solenoid isn't plugged in.

so do i need to get it chipped with a ITR basemap to make up for the butterflies, or would it make a big difference if I bump up to hondata s100/s300 and get it tuned?

i had a 99 gsr intake mani and the butterflys were operated by vacumm not the ecu or solinoids
