Default labor prices

How much have you guys payed for a port and polish. Also what should I be looking at price wise for an engine rebuild. Installation of pistons, connecting rods, and so forth. I just don't want to get ripped off so any help would great. Oh yeah and I need install prices for a turbo with this. No smoke up the a$$ on this one I wanna go in the shop and know about what I need to pay. I do understand that you get what you pay for. Thanks in advance.

all our complete head work packages are usually up at $1300-1500

that includes port/polish, resurface head, new guides, new valves, upgraded valve springs, upgraded retainers, hot tanked, assembled.
-hope that gave a rough estimate.

bottom end stuff. basic stage 1 upgrades are like $1400.00
for example: LSblock for VTEC conversion.
CTR/ITR pistons, shot peened rods, new bearings, hone/maching/deck, new ARP rod bolts, new Type R oil pump, oil pan gasket, oil filter, piston rings, and assembly.

and it adds up as you upgrade more parts.

if you are paying way less.. question the parts that they are putting in there.
all these new parts add up even if all bought at COST. you dont want them cutting corners by not even maching and prepping the block or even changing the bearings.

good luck

Wil

kurt from kg precision ported my head. $500. as for installation and assembly, will prices are good. if youre paying less, you should definately question what type of parts they are using. figure labor alone is around 4-500.
