Default ~2.7-2.8 1st gear

Besides getting a full custom tranny, how would one get a gear that's longer than all the B-series 1st, but shorter than the 2nd.

Running really high numbers, a longer 1st wouldn't run out so quick.
Would taking the shift out of 60' times decrease it that much.
Just a thought

Or do I not see thick black smoke coming out of my butt.

simple, Spoon...

Alot of the 9.xxx guys use the Spoon gearing in an attempt to hookup in first gear. Let the car roll out then hit second instead of just blowing off first gear gear on the launch.

Looks like about 1800 on http://www.randdmotorsports.com/spoonprice.html nasty. I guess not if your serious. But is that the whole 5+1 gears and final drive or just a final drive set?
