Default overheating....perhaps air in cooling system?

please help.
I have 9:1 pistons now and I find that with the ac on i get a definite power loss compared to when i was a stock engine. car pulls fine once it gets going but the load definitely seems higher than before. and when i come to a stop the car idles down really low (even stalled a couple of times) and then comes back up to normal steady idle.

Backfill the cooling system, Torin. Works for me. I've never had an overheating problem by doing it this way.

Torin,

The way I do it is to hook everything up and then disconnect the upper radiator hose from the top of the radiator. Then pour the water/coolant mix into the hose so that it 'backfills' into the engine that way. I can usually get about a quart or 2 in there before it starts to come out of the hose. Then I plug the hose back into the radiator and fill up the radiator.

I had to this about 10 times (don't ask why , boost ) during the time that I owned my Civic Si and I never once had an overheating problem.
