Tightening flywheel on my tranny and i have everything unbolted and it will pretty much take 2 minutes to get the tranny off the motor but before i take the mounts off the tranny i thought i should support the motor. Only thing that scares me is that the oil pan might get crushed. My plan was a jack under the tranny and a jack with a piece of wood under the engine. Had hoist available when i swapped but not now until i can buy one. So am i good with 2 jacks and wood?
the oil pan will not get crushed by the weight of the engine, and a jack/wood should be enough to support it if the rest of the car also supported by jackstands.
but if the jack/wood is supporting the whole car via oil pan = bad idea
