Default Supporting engine when pulling tranny?

Hey guys, is there a better way to support the engine when the transmission is out of the car other than resting it on the oil pan?

yes, i use a piece of wood(small flat piece against the oil pan) and a floor jack

same here. I had my engine supported like that for almost a week, and the oil pan was fine.
