The power would be the same, however your gearing would be shorter therefore accelerating your car quicker. The GSR isn't a ton different than the ls, but it should be noticeable. The B16/ITR trans would have the lowest gearing of all of the B series trans. Good luck!

My friend had an LS tranny on his b20V, then when he got a b16 tranny it was WAY better. That **** climbs!
It will feel a lot better with the shorter gears.

well i dont know if it true or not peep tell my the the synco in b16 is smaller so when you put it in a b20v ur tranny tend go get messup faster where the b18c1 tranny have bigger synco

gsr trans is the way to go for a good balance between acceleration and highway cruising gas mileage. and it is a good choice in case you decide to go turbo in the future.

What he is talking about is the older cable b16 trannies.. The S1 for sure has a smaller input shaft and the synchros are diffrent than the newer models. As far as I know all of the hydro b series trannies have the same size shafts and synchros.

This is true. If you care at all about highway mileage stick with the gsr.

My GSR tranny on my B20 has me around 4000 rpm on highway trips at 75ish MPH.

B16/R trannys i believe will have you around 4500 at the same speed..

But yeah, youll notice a huge improvement especially at high rpm
