i am about to put ctr cams in my 2000 gsr with i/e/h and blox IM. we just put on the maniofld and my car runs absoultuely great, nothing wrong with idle or anything like some people said would happen. how is my car going to run with those ctr cams in? can i still drive it until i get a tune. i dont want to be boggin out or anything on my way to the tune. how did your guys' car drive?? let me know. thanks!

 

You car runs great with that manifold on a stock ecu? That dont happen too often. As for the cams, they will need to be tuned to get the full potential but alot of people just drop them in without the tune and they usually run fine. Just make sure you have your timing marks set perfect.

 

yeah man runs SO perfect idk how! the idle is exactly the same, no power loss or anything ha!

 

Its not the idle the new manifold effects, its the IAB's. Without them you are going to lose some power on a stock ecu weather its noticable is all based on the driver. You didn't notice you no longer have a "2nd vtec" at 5700rpm?

 

haha nah. everything feels the same, but thats just the old butt dyno. im getting it tuned net week

 

post up how much power u make if u get it dyno'd. I'm interested in what #'s u make since a buddy of mine is lookin @ running these cams in a GSR head.
