so its a mini me swap d15b8 block and z6 head. everything should b ok but it is consuming too much oil. i was running chipped p28 but thought it was probably a wrong setup so i swaped it out for the cx ecu po something. but still smokes a lot. it smokes when i come to like a stop for a little while.. like a stop light and sit for like a minute and when i give it gas to start moving its wen it starts to smoke like an addict. im going towards worn valve guides.. what do u guys think?

Most likely valve seals, but could be rings. Is it redlining at 6k rpm now cause the CX ecu?

no even with the p28 it was redlining at 6. like if it has a governer at 6. no it cant b the rings cause the block has been honed machined pretty much the works for rebuilding. new rings new bearings new gaskets. the head is the one i purchased of some guy and it was used.

the chip in the ecu is messed up... check compression if it's good pull of the header and see if valve got oil on them. Then pull of intake manifold and check. If valve seals are bad replace them. Is it actually eating oil or you just see smoke?

Don't run cx ecu.

yea compression is good all around. and it has brand new valve seals. i had the head resurfaced, checked for cracks, 3 angle valve job and new seals. but yea it smokes super bad.. and yea i pulled my manifold and it does have oil mixed with fuel and i know its eating oil cuz i ran it for 6 miles and it went down like half a quart. before that i had ran it for two days mayb like 40 miles each day and it went down to the low line/dot.

if you pulled off your intake manifold and you see oil on your valves it means it's leaking oil past the seals onto valves. Either your seals were installed wrong or your guides are completly trashed.

well the original place i took it too screwd me good. i payed for resurface, check for cracks and new valve seals. but wen i got it back they never had checked the head for cracks and they ****ed up the valve lash. the block is the one it came with the car and it was running great so i know it couldnt b the block plus like i said its machined and new pretty much everything including hone and oversize rings. another thing the pcv valve is screwed up u think that might also cause the problem??

Yea if you pcv valve is stuck or the line is kinked it will eat oil like ****. I completly forgot about that because all the motors that I build or have I make sure to remove stock pcv system. I've seen couple years back a b16 that would burn oil like a mother as soon as we cleaned the pcv valve and got rid of the kink in the line from intake manifold to pcv valve (guy swapped the intake manifold and kinked the line) it didn't burn a drop of oil. Get that checked out.
