Help: Cel 17 vss
hi fellows,
its one after another.. i just fixed my code 90/91 by wiring up the 2 missing EVAP wires on my OBD2B to OBD2A jumper harness and now i got a new code.
Code 17 VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor.
basically i have an OBD2B chassis with OBD2A motor in it
everything works fine (cluster speed/rpm) but why would the CEL tell me my VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor??
any idea where to start??
once again my i have 00+ 5 speed cluster, if that matters, and everything works fine on it except the CEL is on.
thanks

Sometimes the individual pins can be pulled out of the plug enough where they do not make contact. If this happens, it will throw that code. I got this code on my '99 CRV a few times, and I would just reset it. Nothing was affected, but it would come on intermittently. Come to find out the pin was just not making good enough connection sometimes. Good luck!
