well being obd1 you will need injectors and dizzy off your obd2 or you can convert them if you dont have obd2 ones. also obd1 vtec ecu and you will need to run wires for your vtec pressure switch and vtec solenoid. there are tons of how to wire vtec. its not bad at all to do what you want to do/

easiest way is to get an ex harness.

because if not you would have to run wires do a 3 wire to 2 wire iac and other things.

also you should get obd2a/b injectors from a y8 because the ones on your car are 190cc not 240cc

You need to make a distributor using the D16Y7 guts in the D16Z6 case, there is no stock distributor that works, use this as a guide https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/how-rebuild-your-distributer-using-different-model-dizzy-2441044/ use your old OBD2 injectors, but use the Z6 rail. You can reuse your original harness and add wires for vtec, you will also need to convert from a 3 wire IACV to a 2 wire IACV. use this as a guide http://www.ff-squad.com/tech/wiring/wiring.96-98.jpg you will also need to use a jumper harness and an OBD1 P28 ECU.

'99 - '00 civic harness do not work in '96 - '98 civics and vice versa.

use a z6 dizzy and wire the y7 (or y anything) plug onto it, use an ek ex harness with a obd2>obd1 conversion harness and use a 92-95 civic ex p28 ecu. (or the del sol one if you have it) dont use the "guts" tequiniq just pull the pins outta the obd1 plug and put em in the obd2 plug, they wont fit perfect but well enough to work. or you can cut the wires and solddar/heat shrink them.

I've tried the pinning and deping approach before, they just don't fit well enough for me. Its also not particularly hard to swap the guts between two distributors.

Taking the gutts out and swapping them over is not hard at all.
But however 25$ for a Jumper is well worth it.
