So I almost bought an integra today but quickly turned away.
the guy wanted $4900 for a crappy paint job, leaking cam seal, busted up interior and along with that no brakes. but he said he would through in a body kit for my civic. like I want my civic to look as busted up as the integra.

The sad part is he didnt know anything was wrong.

But my question is when shifting to third the was the crazy grinding of the clutch. What could that be? I have heard of this problem before and its always third.

2nd and 3rd gears always have problems from racing and *****....bad driving...

 

Sounds like a 3rd gear synchro is bad. You made a good decision not buying it.

 

the grinding noise isnt the clutch. if it is then you got hella issues lol but no its the syncros. its cheaper and easier to replace the tranny.

 

man I cant believe that he wants $4900. It was worth maybe $1500. And I was actually thinking of getting it to drive while I replace my clutch in my civic then letting my girl have it. she wants a civic or integra "5 speed" but I cant find one for a reasonable price that hasnt been completely f*#ked.
