i asked this before when i was a noob and got so much ****...now that im not i wanna ask again...NOT becuz i stall...but becuz i just wanna know...what stalling does to ur engine...werent u guys ever curious?

I doubt it does anything to your engine. If it did they would have made the car so that it didn't stall. Dont you think?

 

there s no single reason for stall s..sometime u dont clutch properly and ur stuck in the middle of the intersection looking like a fool..or u might flood the motor with too much gas..or something just breaks and u dont move at all no matter what..either way u look like a dip in the middle of the intersection or strand d in the fast lane during rush hr

Clutch....running out of gas?

Stalling just stops the engine.....how do you think you shut it off? You stall it...by cutting off the spark or the fuel or just getting it below the RPM's that it needs to keep rotating.

You can harm it by running out of fuel but, stalling doesn't really hurt an engine.

 

it doesn't do much harm to your motor, but I would think it would hurt your motor mount's.

 

Wear out the ignition if you keep on starting and restarting....

I was wondering about this myself, because this car is the same car I learned stick on, a couple years ago, so there was a lot of stallin goin on back then.

 

For real, you should've seen my first car 90 CRX, I fried those wires !!!

IF THE INTERIOR MOTOR COMPONENTS ARE STRONG ENOUGH, I agree. But, motors stalled by too high demand placed on them by dropping the clutch too quick, or by running out of gas, or by a shock so hard that the motor stalls can be damaged by these stresses. The only safe way to stall a motor is by loss of spark. No other "safe" way. All other ways can theoretically overstress the motor (although they probably don't, but it is a theoretical argument, eh?)
